TLDR; Pi 5 event at HackWimbledon on November 5th

It’s a very special HackWimbledon. Pi Fawkes Night (Well afternoon really) will be a festival of Pi 5s on November 5th. We’re all kinda excited about the new Pi and not just because it has a power button and a clock now.

We’re getting all the HackWimbledon/Makeroni family to gather to show and tell with their new Pi 5 kit. This is of course, modulo some of the kit arriving with folks but we’re pretty confident that at least one or two of us will be getting their boosted Pi powers by the 5th.

tl;dr: Makeroni/HackWimbledon - August 20th - 12 until 4pm at South Park Gardens.

A couple of months ago, one of the group suggested that instead of our regular meetup at Wimbletech, we should take advantage of the lovely summer weather (!!) and do an outdoors meetup in a local park. So, we did! Now we’re going to do it again, and this time, hold a show-and-tell and invite anyone to come and talk to us about what we make and do.

We’re back in the flesh!

TL;DR: Makeroni/HackWimbledon - March 20th - 12 till 4pm at Wimbletech.

Why now?

With the steady ramp down to zero of restrictions, HackWimbledon’s old digs, at Wimbletech, are now available to use again. So we’re going to start having in-the-flesh meetings once a month. We’re swapping out the Makeroni Talk event for the physical meetings.

There’s a fine revamped room for folks to interact in, which is well ventilated and now comes with a cracking big screen for showing folks how stuff works and complementing talks with visuals.
